The Adult Services Department is dedicated to assisting library users find information both within and outside of the Library’s collection. During business hours, an experienced reference librarian will help users identify and access materials.

Material Requests
If you would like to make a request for the library to purchase an item, please fill out the online material request form. Please provide as much information about the item as possible.
Interlibrary Loans
Colleyville residents with a valid Colleyville Public Library card may request to borrow materials from the collections of other libraries nationwide. The lending library will set the loan length and due dates. It takes anywhere from 4 days to 4 weeks to receive the item, with the majority of the items arriving in around 10 days. A $2.00 charge will be assessed for items ordered that are not checked out. These requests can be made at the reference desk, by emailing reference@colleyville.com or through the online interlibrary loan request form. Please provide as much information about the item as possible.
Book a Librarian
Book a Librarian is an opportunity for Colleyville residents with Colleyville Public Library Cards to request one-on-one, uninterrupted help from one of our professional librarians. Each 30-minute session will be tailored to your specific needs and will be compatible with your schedule. You can get help:
- Browsing the library's catalog
- Downloading ebooks and digital audiobooks through Cloud Library or Simply-E
- Setting up Press Reader, Flipster, or Transparent Language
- Searching the internet
- Using library databases
- Basic computer use
- Personalized help with a research project
Note: While we can help you find resources on most topics, some questions and services are beyond the scope and expertise of the library. We are unable to offer assistance with software not available on library computers, editing or proofreading written works including resumes. We can guide you to information sources for medical, legal, and tax questions, and product or service recommendations, but we cannot offer personal advice, interpretation, recommendation, or opinion.

Looking for something new to read? Ask a librarian! Fill out the form with what you love (and hate) to read. Keep in mind that the more you tell us, the better we can help you. One of our librarians will respond within 5 business days with a list of 7-10 books selected especially for you.
