The library lockers are a remote locker service that provides cardholders with a convenient and easy way to pick-up holds at the Colleyville Recreation Center located at 3508 Roberts Road. These lockers are accessible in the Rec Center’s lobby during their regular business hours (Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 9:00 PM, Saturday: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM, and Sunday: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

 

How to use the lockers

  1. On the online catalog, find an item you wish to put on hold.

  2. Select the “Place hold” button.

  3. In the drop down pickup location menu, select “Rec Center Locker” and select “Submit hold”.

  4. Once you receive your “arrived hold” text or email , visit the remote lockers.  Do not visit the lockers until you receive your notice as your items will not be ready.

  5. At the locker, select “Holds pick-up” on the touch screen.

  6. Scan or enter your library card number.

  7. Confirm your item on the screen and select “Checkout”.

  8. The locker door will automatically open.  Take your item out of the locker and close the door.

  9. Select the “Done” button to close your account.

  10. You can have a receipt printed, emailed, or no receipt.  You are done and ready to enjoy your item.

Pickup Locker FAQ

Q:  When can I pick up my books in the locker and how many days do I have to pick up items

A: You will be notified by email when your items is ready for pickup.  You will have three days to pick up your hold.  Lockers are available Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 9:00PM, Saturday: 8:00 AM – 7:00PM, and Sunday: 11:00AM – 5:00PM.

Q: Can holds currently available for pickup at the Colleyville Library be transferred to the Rec Center lockers?

 A:  No, holds that have arrived at the library will need to be picked up at the Colleyville Library and cannot be transferred to the Rec Center lockers at this time.

Q:  Do I need my library card with me to use the lockers?

 A:  No, but you will need to know your library card number if you don't have your card with you.  You can also scan your library barcode from the Cloud Library app.

Q:  I closed the locker door without taking my items out, what do I do?

 A:  The locker system will allow you to re-open your locker door by selecting the “Holds pick-up” button and starting the process over.  The door will re-open and allow you to claim your item up to an hour after the initial pickup.

Q:  Can I use the lockers to return items?

A: Yes, there is a small book return next to the locker system.  The Colleyville Rec Center’s book return will be collected Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays between 11am and 1pm.  Please only return items from the Colleyville Public Library in the book return.  If an item does not fit in the book return’s slot, please return it to the Colleyville Public Library’s book return or to the drive-up window.  STEAM and Early Literacy kits are not accepted the Re Center’s book return and should be return to the Colleyville Public Library’s drive-up window.

Q:  Who do I contact if I have a problem using the lockers?

A: You can call the Library at 817-503-1161 during regular business hours.  After hours, you can leave a voicemail and a staff member will return you call the next business day.
